We are committed to full transparency and governance compliance
The South West Scotland Community Rail Partnership is committed to full transparency and governance compliance.
We have an executive board which currently has five serving members responsible for steering the organisation in line with our stated aims and objectives and in compliance with our Articles of Association.
Partnership members have voting rights which are generally exercised at the Annual General Meeting for the election of Directors to the Board and on other issues where, in accordance with our Articles of Association, member votes are required.
Directors can also be co-opted by the Board to serve until the next AGM.
At present, the Board comprises of Chief Executive Officer Dr Mhairi McKenna and Board members Irene Climie, Roger Pirrie, Michael Liebisch and Peter Jeal.
The Partnership is funded by key partner organisations, funding applications to funding bodies and through some commercial activity such as the income from the Partnership Shop at Girvan Station.
We work closely with our key partners which include the train operating company behind Scotrail - currently Abellio, Dumfries & Galloway and South Ayrshire Councils, Community Councils across our operating area, third sector and community groups and others, to ensure the best outcomes in line with our aims and objectives.
