The South West Scotland Community Rail Partnership came into being on May 31st, 2017, to connect local communities in South-west Scotland to their railway.

November 28th, 2017: The ScotRail Alliance has set up a dedicated webpage to provide customers with information on train times over the Christmas and New Year holidays. The website can be viewed at scotrail.co.uk/Christmas.
Important details include Boxing Day services as no trains will be running on Christmas or New Year’s Day and details of services between Christmas and New Year. On Tuesday, January 2nd, a reduced service will be in place across much of the country, with trains starting from mid-morning.
Probably the largest Burns Supper Event in Scotland or beyond – 10 days, 20 venues and a Burns Night Carnival with a cast of over 5,000! Not one to miss – entertainment includes cabaret, comedy, music and poetry.This event takes place on January 19th to 28th, 2018. Read more.

You will be kept informed about projects and campaigns we are running, opportunities to volunteer in a wide range of projects and you will be able to help shape the organisation by voting at the Annual General Meeting where you can also put yourself forward for election to a Board position on the Board of Directors. Community Rail Partnerships (CRPs) were first established in England in the early 1990s as part of a UK government initiative to involve local people in the development and running of local and rural routes, services and stations. We were the first in Scotland to become a designated CRP in 2014 under our former name.
